​Anindita Neogy Anaam is an internationally acclaimed Kathak performer, educator, and choreographer based in the United States. She is the founder and artistic director of SARGAM School of Music and Dance, originally established in Delhi NCR, India, and currently operates from Wisconsin, USA. Anindita is preparing to launch a Kathak dance school in Schaumburg, Illinois, further expanding her commitment to Indian classical arts globally.

Anindita holds the distinction of being the first Indian classical dancer to serve as Secretary on the Wisconsin Dance Council Board, where she actively contributes to dance education and cultural initiatives in the state. She also serves as the Director of State Affiliates at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), leading initiatives in K-12 dance education.

Known affectionately as Andy, she trained under eminent gurus from both the Jaipur and Lucknow gharanas, including Pandit Rajendra Gangani and Pandit Jai Kishan Maharaj. Her unique style harmoniously blends the technical precision of these traditions with feminine grace, emphasizing movement and geometry. Anindita is renowned for her innovative performances that integrate world music and Indian classical string instruments.

Her international acclaim includes performances at prestigious festivals such as the New York Kathak Festival at Alvin Ailey Theater, Delhi International Arts Festival, Jayadev Samaroh, Devdasi International Dance Festival, and Kultur Nacht in Germany. She has also graced events like the Logging and Heritage Festival in the USA and Nritya Samarpana Dance Festival.

Beyond performance, Anindita has served as a cultural consultant for IndUS Fox Valley and the Consulate General of India in Chicago. She has been an educator and performer at institutions including Lawrence University, the University of Chicago, and the Miles of Music Education Team.

Her work has been featured in prominent media outlets such as Dance Magazine, Deccan Chronicle, The Times of India, The Hindu, and The Indian Express. Anindita has been honored with awards including the Jayadev Rashtriya Puraskar, Bidagdha Nartaki Samman, and National Nritya Shiromani.

Looking ahead, Anindita is set to establish her own dance company in Chicago, aiming to further enrich the cultural landscape with Kathak dance.
